Door panel (card) delamination & warping

Please watch the short video below showing how to remove the door panels.

When you are ready to ship the panels:

You will need a cardboard box NO LARGER than 48" x 8" x 24", small-bubble bubble wrap material and packing tape. UPS Charges by weight and by volume so try to keep it as small and light as possible.

This size box may be difficult to find, but you can build your own.

Obtain a Large or Grand WARDROBE box from a moving supply store such as U-Store, U-Haul, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

Wardrobe boxes will generally measure 48" x 22' x 22",  44" x 24" x 24" or similar.  Right there you have two of the three dimensions.  So just fold down one of the 24" or 22" sides to 8", cut off the excess cardboard and tape together.

The  minimum size (for two sportscar panels) is 42" x 7" x 22".

The packed box with both panels should weigh approximately 27 - 29 lbs.

Keeping the box size to the recommended size and weight will save you a lot in shipping!

If you have Macan or Canneye door panels to ship, keep in mind that those panels are larger and heavier than the sportscar panels and require a larger box.

Keep all of the removed trim pieces with you in a safe place, including the small triangular piece that sits on the top front of the panel.

Secure the loose blue connector with tape so that it doesn't get damaged in transit.

Wrap each panel in one layer of bubble-wrap only.  Place the panels leather-side to leather-side and one of the panels turned 180º so that the door handles are out of each other's way.

Tape the panels together so that they form one unit.  Place in the box and fill any voids with bubble wrap. - PLEASE DON'T USE PACKING PEANUTS - They make a big mess and get into the panel's innards.
